Valving Logic tested a trapped crossover on Thumper Talk, however there are so many differences between the shim stacks tested it is difficult to guess the expected damping force differences of the effect of the trapped crossover (linky sample apps).
Computing the damping force of complex shim stack configurations with multiple differences in the crossover configuration, high speed stack and clamp is the purpose of Shim ReStackor. The computed results closely compare with the dyno test data.
